Stranger Things Brings Real Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream to Walmart

Publish date: 2024-09-23

When “Stranger Things” fans last saw Scoops Ahoy, it was being destroyed in the battle of the Starcourt Mall in Season 3. But now the Hawkins ice cream shop is back — this time, in Walmart.

Starting on Sept. 13, stores in the U.S. and Australia will be carrying pints with seven different flavors of “Stranger Things” Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream inspired bythe fan-favorite ice cream joint. The announcement comes as fans are still eagerly awaiting any news about the fifth and final season of the Duffer Brother’s Emmy-winning Netflix series, which EP Shawn Levy recently said will be a feat of “major cinematic storytelling.”

The full list of Scoops Ahoy flavors that will be available includes U.S.S. Butterscotch, Triple Decker Extravaganza, Chocolate Pudding, Cinnamon Bun Bytes and three flavors from the Upside Down: Mint Flare, the Void, and Pineapple Upside Down. The flavors will soon come to other parts of the world, including the U.K., Italy, Brazil, Mexico and Japan.

While fans await “Stranger Things” Season 5, they can hold themselves over by seeing the show’s first live stage play in London’s West End, titled “Stranger Things: The First Shadow,” later this year. The show is billed as a prequel to the Netflix show that includes a young Jim Hopper (played by David Harbour in the TV series), Joyce Maldonado (Winona Ryder), Bob Newby (Sean Astin) and Henry Creel (Jamie Campbell Bower), who eventually turns into Vecna.

Vecna and the Demogorgon are also coming to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights, for fans who want a fright. In Los Angeles, there’s also the official “Stranger Things” store where fans can buy their favorite merch.
