Frank Frazetta - Trivia, Family, Bio
Known for his album covers, movie posters, paintings, science fiction drawings, and comic book art, he received three Chesley Awards; a Hugo Award; a Spectrum Grand Master of Fantastic Art Award; and inductions into the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame and the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame.
Before Fame
He began training at the Brooklyn Academy of Fine Arts when he was only eight years old. Eight years later, he began working in the studio of comic book artist Bernard Baily.
Trivia
During the late 1970s and early 1980s, he created album covers for three Molly Hatchet recordings.
Family Life
He and his three sisters were raised in Brooklyn, New York. In 1956, he married Eleanor Kelly; the couple raised children named Frank Jr., Billy, Holly, and Heidi.
Associated With
Early in his career, he assisted Al Capp with Capp's famous Li'l Abner comic strip.
