Brian Austin Green Calls Out DWTS for Snubbing Sharna Burgess
On Tuesday’s show, a number of former pro dancers returned to DWTS to remember late judge Len Goodman and dance a Waltz to “Moon River” as a tribute to him. Those pros included Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Mark Ballas, Karina Smirnoff, and Tony Dovolani.
Sharna Burgess, who appeared on the show from Season 16 to Season 30, was not among the returning dancers. On Wednesday, her fiancé Brian Austin Green took to Instagram to call out DWTS out for not inviting her to participate.
“I can’t begin to tell you how disappointed I was for @sharnaburgess to not be invited for the tribute last night,” he wrote. “It’s disappointing as well that none of her ‘family in the ballroom’ stuck up for her or spoke out.”
Green wrote that Burgess is “an incredible soul” who “has always been a friend to everyone,” adding, “She deserved better.” In the post’s caption, he pointed out that Burgess “wasn’t even invited to sit in the stands and watch.” He also wrote that Cheryl Burke “should have been there as well.”

Fans Think This Takes Attention from Len Goodman
“What’s disappointing is, what was supposed to be a tribute to an exceptional man has now turned into a ‘who was or wasn’t invited’ debacle,” wrote one fan in response to Green’s post. “When the entire focus and attention should be on Len and only Len.”
Burgess sat out Season 31 of the show after she gave birth to her and Green’s son Zane. Then last month, the dancer revealed that she had not been invited back to the show as a dancer for Season 32, saying, “I realized when those spots were all filled, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I didn’t get the call.'”
“I can be deeply saddened in the fact that I don’t get to be in the ballroom this season, and I can also truly love the show and want to support it and want to cheer them on,” she said of the snub.
Fellow pro dancer Cheryl Burke, who left the show last season, also wasn’t invited back for Tuesday’s tribute. She posted her own video honoring Goodman on social media ahead of the episode.
