An Artist Started Tattooing Children and Explained Why It Was Important for Them
In a world where body art is a prevalent form of expression, a controversial trend has emerged. This tattoo artist is now tattooing children as young as 6. This eyebrow-raising practice has sparked a heated debate, but we will witness on how this will change the lives of these children, with one big smile.
How the tattoo journey for kids started.
Artist Benjamin Lloyd went viral after he posted about tattooing a kid. It gained more than 400,000 likes and since then, Lloyd’s videos and photos of him airbrushing tattoos onto children have gone viral, accumulating hundreds of thousands of likes and shares on his Facebook page.
He has already visited Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, as well as IHC, an organization advocating for developmentally delayed individuals’ rights. He has been raising funds online to continue his mission of creating smiles for those in need.
Bringing smiles through art and passion
At first, a lot of people got angry since they thought it was permanent. But in his post, he said, “It’s airbrushed on and not permanent.” All the kids he tattooed were so happy and confident.
Benjamin is doing this because he said, “The kids are so amazed. As soon as they get the tattoo it boosts their confidence.”
The ink used is safe and organic.
He uses organic non-toxic ink, and it’s safe for kids. No needle is used, only airbrush. It looks so real that people got fooled into thinking it’s permanent. Benjamin does this not because of the likes and attention he gets but because he wants to put a smile on the face of those kids in need.
Confidence and joy through ink art
Through his artwork which is doing great in tattoos, he shares his talent with those kids. The good thing about his work is that he only takes roughly 9 minutes to finish one realistic tattoo using different stencils. Since the ink is organic, it can be removed when they shower. He said, “The only bad thing is that they don’t want to take a shower afterward.”
A tattoo is not just an art form; it is a powerful means of self-expression. It offers a unique outlet to convey our emotions and thoughts, allowing us to share our innermost feelings with the world. Like this one, we transform our scars into something remarkable and beautiful, infusing creativity into our lives in a deeply personal manner.
