American Idol has officially announced their lineup of guest performers for Sunday night’s finale. The star studded finale features giant names in music including judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie.

Fans have previously seen a large amount of big names as part of the landmark season. Some of the most notable names in the history of the series were seen as part of the “Great Idol Reunion” episode. Following suit to the rest of the season, the series returns for their three hour finale with the ultimate star studded line up.

Returning to the American Idol stage as performers are alums Carrie Underwood and Gabby Barrett. The other finale guest performers include: James Arthur, Sara Bareilles, Michael Bublé, Deana Carter, Earth, Wind and Fire, Melissa Etheridge, Flo Rida, Ben Platt, Thomas Rhett, and Tai Verdes. Fans expect the network to announce more guests closer to the episode.

Within the round of the competition, Top 3 singers Leah Marlene, Noah Thompson, and HunterGirl will perform a Bruce Springsteen tunes. On top of their Springsteen tune, they also will duet with a celebrity. On May 18, American Idol announced that Leah is paired with Perry, HunterGirl is paired with Bryan, and Noah is Etheridge.

Who Else Should Fans Expect to See in The American Idol Finale?

If this season follows suit to last year’s theme, fans will see the Top 12 singers return for special performances. So far, three eliminated season 20 singers have announced their return to the stage. On May 15, Christian Guardino confirmed that he will duet with music icon Michael Bublé in the finale.

On the same day, Emyrson Flora revealed that she was back in Los Angeles since her elimination. Within the post itself, she didn’t confirm that she was returning to American Idol. Instead, she commented a winky face to a fan asking if she was back in town for the finale.

On May 17, both Lady K and Mike Parker announced their involvement to the series. While Lady K acknowledged that she will perform, Mike revealed that he will duet with Deana Carter. Within his announcement, he shared that her tune “Strawberry Wine” brings him back to the start of his Idol journey.

Fans hope to see other Top 12 singers return for Sunday night’s finale. American Idol returns to ABC for their season 20 three hour finale on Sunday, May 22.
