There were controversies over Buhari's previous trip to London after the postponement of the general elections.

Buhari said he went to rest because of intense presidential campaign. He also visited key members of the Royal Institute of International Affair, Chatham House.

Meanwhile, Peoples Democratic Party, which featured his major opponent in the elections, claimed that Buhari left Abuja to receive treatment in the UK hospital because of his age.

It would be recalled that Diezani's popularity dropped after Lamido Sanusi, the former governor of the central bank, blamed the NNPC for not being able to account for$20 billion oil money.

Despite the public outrage, Alison-Madueke declined to duly explain the situation.
