Accept to take responsibility

Through his lawyer Peter Wanyama, Lusaka admitted the said child was indeed his, saying he was ready to settle the matter as fast as possible out of court.

The woman had sought an order to have the Speaker pay a lump sum of KSh 25 million or give a monthly payment of KSh 200,000 for her needs and those of the unborn child.

Additionally, the woman also wanted the court to order the speaker to buy her a house of the same standard of houses where Lusaka’s children currently stay.

She claimed that being the unborn child's father, Lusaka had declined to take responsibility, to support and provide for her and the unborn baby.

The lady said she has been going through pregnancy complications that potentially threaten the unborn child's life, adding that Lusaka consistently rejected his association with her despite his full knowledge that they have been having unprotected relations together for years.

The case is expected to be mentioned again on Wednesday, July 28.
